2012 got off to a great start, with Shut Up and Dance going Gold in Canada, while also hitting Top 10 at iTunes. The track has been a total Canadian smash, topping the Canadian charts for months. The song was written and produced by songwriter / producer Ryan Stewart.

RYAN WRITES & PRODUCES THE NUMBER ONE SONG IN CANADA

Warner artist Victoria Duffield’s hit single, Shut Up and Dance, written and produced by Ryan, is officially the Top Canadian song across all radio formats in all of Canada. It has also been riding atop of the Emerging Canadian Artists chart at #1 for 4 weeks straight. It’s also a smash on a number of other charts, sitting at #7 at CHR, #9 Hot 100 Airplay, and #14 at HOT AC.

SHUT UP AND DANCE FASTEST SINGLE TO REACH TOP 10 SINCE 2009!

The new breakthrough single “Shut Up And Dance” by Warner Canada artist Victoria Duffield, written and produced by hit songwriter and producer Ryan Stewart, reached Top 10 at CHR/TOP40 on both BDS and Mediabase charts after only 8 weeks.

This makes it the fastest debut single by a Canadian artist to reach Top 10 at CHR / TOP 40 since Stereo’s “Summer Girl” in July 2009!

The song also reached Top 15 at iTunes this weekend, and the video has now gotten over 1,000,000 views on YouTube.

Suzie McNeils brand new smash hit single Merry Go Round, written by writer / producer Ryan Stewart and Suzie, has just entered the Top 10 (#9) at AC Radio in Canada. This is another Top 10 Canadian hit for Ryan, making it his 6th Top 10 hit song, following Carly Rae Jepsen “Tug of War” and “Bucket”, Andrew Allen “Loving You Tonight” and “I Wanna Be”, and Laurell’s “Can’t Stop Falling”.

RYAN LANDS 1st TOP 40 U.S. HIT WITH ANDREW ALLEN

Ryan has landed his first Top 40 smash in the U.S.A. with Andrew Allen’s hit single Loving You Tonight. The single was a Top 5 hit in Canada last year, lasting over 20 weeks in the Top 10, before Andrew signed with Epic Records. Now only 4 weeks after it’s USA release, the single has entered the Top 40, and the new video for the song has over 2 million views. Check it out here.

NEW MATT WEBB SINGLE, BAD GIRL, RELEASE ANNOUNCED

After a few months of keeping it a secret, 604 Records announced yesterday that the new Matt Webb (Marianas Trench lead guitarist) single, “Bad Girl”, co-written and produced by Ryan, is being released April 19th to iTunes and to radio stations across the country. ANDREW ALLEN SIGNS WITH EPIC RECORDS & RELEASES FIRST US SINGLE

Due to the huge Canadian success of his hit single Loving You Tonight (top 10 for over 20 weeks), Andrew Allen recently signed a major label record deal with Epic Records and a major publishing deal with Sony / ATV Music Publishing. Andrew and Ryan spent the fall and early winter writing and producing Andrew’s first full album for Epic Records. The record is now complete, and the the label has released Loving You Tonight, along with a new video, throughout the US. Check out the video here.

RYAN SCORES FIRST # 1 HIT WITH ANDREW ALLEN

Andrew Allen’s “I Wanna Be”, produced and mixed by Ryan Stewart, hit #1 this week at Mainstream AC Radio. While they’ve already had two Top 10 singles, this is Ryan and Andrews first chart topping hit.

The two are currently in the studio finishing up Andrew’s new album, set for release in the USA in early 2011 on Epic Records.

ANDREW ALLEN & LAURELL NOMINATED FOR 3 CRMAs

Andrew Allen’s “Loving You Tonight” and Laurell’s “Can’t Stop Falling” were both nominated for Single Of The Year at the 2011 Canadian Radio Music Awards. Loving You Tonight was nominated for AC, and Can’t Stop Falling got 2 nominations for both Hot AC & AC.

Ryan produced both songs and co-wrote “Can’t Stop Falling”. Both songs went on to hit Top 10 at Canadian Radio, with “Loving You Tonight” actually hitting #5 at AC. “Can’t Stop Falling” already won a Western Canadian Music award in October of this year.

LAURELL WINS: POP ALBUM OF THE YEAR

Last night Laurell won the WCMA “Pop Album Of The Year” for her hit single and album of the same name “Can’t Stop Falling”. The Top 10 lead off smash hit “Can’t Stop Falling” was co-written and produced by Ryan Stewart, and Ryan also mixed the rest of the Ron Lopata produced album with Sam Ryan.

DIEGO WINS THE NEXT STAR

Ryan was chosen to be one of the guest writer / producers on the hit television show The Next Star this summer. He was paired with top 6 finalist Diego and wrote and produced the hit single “My Best Friends Girl”. This sunday, Diego went on to win the show, and their single went Top 10 on iTunes. CANT STOP FALLING NOMINATED FOR BEST POP RECORDING

Laurell’s album “Can’t Stop Falling”, mixed by Ryan Stewart, and her hit single of the same name (produced and co-written by Ryan) have just been nominated for Best Pop Recording at the WCMA’s.

SHINE 4U HITS #65 IN THE U.S.A.

Carmen and Camille’s Juno nominated hit single, Shine 4U, produced and co-written by Ryan Stewart, just hit #66 on the CHR charts in the US. The song has already gone Top 40 in Canada and is now poised to do the same in the US.

The song was nominated for “Dance Recording of the Year” at this years Juno awards, and hit Top 40 on CHR and HOT AC in Canada earlier this year. The girls are currently working on more songs with Ryan.

LAURELL HITS TOP 10!!!

Laurell’s hit single “Can’t Stop Falling”, co-written and produced by Ryan Stewart, just hit #8 at AC radio in Canada. It also hit Top 15 at HOT AC, and has so far been heard by over 40 million listeners.

Less than a month after their “Song of the Year” win for Tug Of War at the Canadian Radio Music Awards, and nominated for “Songwriter of the Year” together, as well as “Best New Artist”, Carly and Ryan spent the weekend in St. John’s Newfoundland at the 2010 Juno Awards.

Carly Rae Jepsen and Ryan Stewart beat out Nickelback, Theory of a Deadman, and Divine Brown to take the top spot at the Canadian Radio Music Awards for “Songwriter of the Year” for their hit song “Tug Of War”.
